Our Company

A young vision built around dependable ingredients and lasting relationships.

Pankaj Desai Partner, Spice Loom International LLP

At 21, Pankaj Desai started Spice Loom International with one clear vision: to build a trusted food-ingredient business that could take carefully sourced Indian products to buyers across domestic and international markets.

Spice Loom was created with one clear purpose: to make dependable ingredients easier for food businesses to source, understand and build with.

Today, the company's portfolio includes dehydrated onion, garlic, ginger and vegetables, along with Indian spices, seasoning blends, fried and toasted onion products and selected private-label solutions.

The business supports buyers through multiple product formats, packaging options and requirement-led discussions rather than offering the same solution to every customer.

For Pankaj, every enquiry begins with understanding what the buyer is trying to create, where the product will be used and what would make the supply relationship dependable over the long term.

The goal is not simply to supply an ingredient. It is to understand the requirement and become a dependable part of the buyer's business.

How We Work

Understanding the requirement before recommending the product.

Every buyer approaches us with a different objective. Some require a bulk ingredient for manufacturing, while others are looking for a particular format, retail pack, seasoning blend or private-label range.

Our approach begins by understanding the requirement and then identifying the most relevant product, format and packaging options.

01

Understand the Application

We begin with the intended use, target market, required quantity and commercial expectations behind the enquiry.

02

Identify the Product

The most relevant ingredient, variety or seasoning is identified from the available product portfolio.

03

Review the Format

Available flakes, chopped, minced, granules, powders, whole spices, seeds or blends are reviewed according to the requirement.

04

Discuss the Specification

Relevant cut sizes, mesh ranges, product characteristics and selected customised requirements are considered.

05

Confirm Packaging Needs

Bulk, food-service, distribution, retail and private-label packaging preferences are discussed.

06

Support the Commercial Decision

Available product information, samples, quantities, destination and order requirements are reviewed before moving forward.

Business Relationships

A business shaped by direct conversations and long-term thinking.

Food-ingredient supply is ultimately a people-driven business.

Our team engages directly with buyers to understand their products, applications, specifications, packaging expectations and market requirements.

These conversations may begin through a product enquiry, an exhibition meeting, a sample request or an idea for a new private-label range. Each interaction gives us a clearer understanding of what the buyer is trying to achieve.

We value personal involvement because it helps us respond more thoughtfully, communicate more clearly and build relationships that extend beyond a single order.

From presenting our products at industry exhibitions to discussing possibilities directly with buyers, our approach remains accessible, practical and relationship-focused.
